Wild Target

Movie: Wild Target
Cast: Bill Nighy, Emily Blunt, Rupert Grint
Genre: dark comedy
I saw it on: November 27, 2010
Synopsis: Victor (Bill Nighy) is a 2nd generation hit-man – generally regarded to be the best in the business.  Rose (Emily Blunt) is his target.  Tony (Rupert Grint) is a not-too-bright bystander who gets pulled into the action.  Victor is hired to kill Rose and tails her for a while to get an idea of her daily routine.  As he observes her in preparation for the hit, he is fascinated by her.  She is a bit of a pick-pocket/thief/con-man.  He has a bit of a personal crises and finds he cannot bring himself to kill her.  He ultimately rescues her from the backup-hit-man and they go on the run to keep her alive.

My two cents: I really enjoyed this movie.  British movies have a way with off-beat humor that no one else seems to match.  I especially enjoyed the performance by Rupert Grint as a likeable buffoon.  If you like off-beat British humor, you should enjoy this.
